I had 3 fish out of Tuckers Pond in Faringdon, Oxfordshire from 2 short day sessions in June. The first being a mirror of 11lb 8oz, the second being a common of 11lb 8oz and the third being another common of 8lb. I was chuffed to catch the mirror as it was one of the only ones that had come out of the pond this year. The bailiff later told me that was the first time that fish had graced the bank. The pond has recently grow a lot of weed, making a few swims unfishable. I found casting tight to the weed beds using a small pop up has been doing well. I find attaching a small mesh pva bag of pellets to my rigs helps prevent tangles and adds some extra attraction around my hookbait.
